

Born December 22, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii and passed away at the age of 70 years old on June 6, 2025.
He passed away peacefully at home in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 6, 2025 after a long battle with terminal cancer.
Survived by his wife, Lori Medeiros, daughter Malia Medeiros and son Alexander Medeiros, Jr., step-children Marissa Hirakawa (Holly Hoopii), Matthew Rombawa (Christine Velante) and Kevin Rombawa. Granddaughters Nalaya Hee (Malia & Nate) and Kehlani Rombawa (Matthew & Christine). Brother Albert Medeiros (Laurie Goldman Bonilla), sisters Maleen “Lahela” Kitagawa (Clyde Kitagawa/deceased), Franceen Campbell (Bruce Campbell), and Daisy Aio (Darren Aio) and all the nieces and nephews.
Preceeded in death by parents Albert Kekoa Medeiros, Jr. and Mokihana Hannah Kong; Ex-wife, Jan Medeiros, mother to Malia and Alex.
He was an alumni of St. Patrick’s School and St. Louis School and graduated in 1972.
Alika worked for the Honolulu Board of Water Supply for 37 years and retired in late 2010. He was able to enjoy several years of retirement and had a true love of life. Alika was adventurous, spontaneous and willing to try new things. He lived life to its fullest and had a passion to travel and see all different places in the world. He was proud to have 28 years of sobriety and stayed active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Alika loved the ocean, spending time at the beach, traveling, listening to music, good food, fellowship with friends and spending time with family.
He will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace and love and eternal happiness.
