Donald LaVerne Cupp

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved husband, dad, & “AhPah Toots”, Donald Cupp, age 76, passed away on September 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Don proudly served in the US Army in Special Forces, and as a Green Beret and Army Ranger.

Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin on August 22, 1949, Don also lived in Hawaii and for the last 23 years with his wife, Keala, in Henderson, NV. They recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary of love, laughter, and great memories. With both of them being only kids, having children, and being with lots of family and friends meant the world to them. They are so proud of their 3 children: Brad (Katie), Chris (Janelle), and Katie (Trapper), and their eight amazing grandchildren who made their lives so special.

Don touched the lives of many with his quick wit, amazing sense of humor, and outgoing nature. He never failed to make us laugh (or groan) with his dad jokes or just making quick comments throughout the day. Don was definitely a family man who was always there for everyone. He was truly loved, and will be missed.

We would love to invite those who knew or loved him to join us as we lay Don to rest on Friday, October 10,2025, at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel, 1330 Maunakea Street, Hon.,HI. Please note, our visitation schedule AND Cemetery have been changed and updated. Visitation at Borthwick 9:30-10:30. Service and liturgy 10:30-12:00. Burial to follow at 1:00 pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery , 45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, Hawaii. 96744.
