Skippy was a beautiful, vivacious, and delightful personality. It is obvious to me where her daughter gets her outgoing and loving personality. It is hard to say goodbye to someone so special so we may spend countless hours doing it in our own way. Ahui hou Kuipo. Much Aloha, Tracey

Aloha Aunty Skippy Sweet, I'm lost now that my ever smiling friend has gone on another adventure with our Lord. Your sunny disposition and smile always brought a flair to our ukulele class. What a full life!  So proud of her many accomplishments.  In 1953, she was helping my uncle achieve his goal of operating private flight lessons. His name was Warner "Mack" McDonald and he died in a plane crash on September 6, 1953. Two of the pictures on the slideshow, I have in an album (one of her by Warner's plane and one on the rocks). I knew of her but not her name...until Feb 25 when I uncovered several letters that Eula May Hodges wrote to my grandfather after my uncle's death. These letters were passed down to my dad and stored ever since. I now had a name and began searching... only to discover her death on Feb 10. May she Rest In Peace.

We at the Kailua Elks Lodge have fond memories of Skippy visiting our lodge and playing Bingo and enjoying the company!  She was a treasure, and I will miss seeing her smiling face~

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.  May she rest in peace ~ Aloha~

I'll always remember Skippy as my dear, dichotomous friend.  On the one hand she excelled at purposely pushing  with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes -  all my wrong' buttons, methinks to raise my Irish or, perhaps, just to get a spark of life into me (she was always successful); but, on the other I always knew that as many times as we traded friendly jibes, she was honestly concerned and caring about my welfare, as I was of hers.  I also know that as a mother of multiple children and grandchildren myself, we shared common concerns for our bairn . . . it's so difficult to walk a maternal path that doesn't upset one, the other or probably as in my own case, all of them.  I think I learned a lot watching Skippy navigate this path.  With her example as guidance, I hope I can use this knowledge and God willing, I'll do better in the future.  I am so deeply saddened that she's no longer with us, but I'm gladdened to know that she's at peace and with God.

Aunty Eula, I'm gonna miss your sweet Aloha, mahalo for kindness and sharing your love of life.  Rest in Aloha

I met Auntie Skippy only a couple of years ago as she was a customer of the company I worked for at the time.  From the first time I met her I knew there was something very special about this spunky, no nonsense woman with the gorgeous smile.  Fast forward a couple of years and She became one of the very first customers we had when my fiancé and I opened our own business.  She was a joy to be around, had a wonderful sense of humor and I grew to love her dearly as a hanai mother/auntie figure. 
Now she can dance and smile with the angels. I will never forget the short but happy time I got to spend with her.  She was one of the most genuine, strong, confident and giving people I've ever met.  I will miss her always.

Skippy was soooooo much fun! She got me more involved and shared her friends with me. Her calendar was always full and her enthusiasm for life was contagious! I'll miss her so much.

You have our deepest sympathies.  Skippy was a wonderful person and a great auxiliarist.  We'll all miss her.
