Our heartfelt aloha goes out to Taylor and the Johnson Ohana!  Your dad was always so full of Aloha!!  We knew him both as Kamehameha alumni and as an integral part of our Washington ohana through Wakinekona.  

We didn’t get to see him much - only at Hawaiian events, at the Ia Oe Hula Festival, or when we ran into him, most recently at Pac Med in Bothell!  May he rest in aloha in the loving arms of our Lord.  

May you continue to spread aloha through your beautiful gift of hula!  You lit up his life as he watched you dance hula!  In fact, just the other day we were talking about how he told Kumu Kamaile that you wanted to stay in Washington so you could continue to dance with him and his halau!!  He said more but I forgot exactly how he put it…it was funny, full of love, and made us laugh!  

May God Bless  you as you always remember your wonderful dad who loved you so much!

My bruddah Franklin,  I will miss laughing and talking stories with you. We had a special bond when we met at University of Puget Sound in '74, I guess cause we were both from Hawaii.  We played sports, went to many parties,  dancing at clubs, made dinners, sang songs, fought side by side and supported each other as groomsmen when we finally settled down.  This is what I'll miss my bruddah,  but I'll never forget! My Aloha until we party together again. 🤙 "Maka Toad" 🤙 "Wow Laulau"

We are so very sad to learn of Franklin’s passing. Our hearts go out to your family and you, Taylor. Your dad was so proud of you.  We have known him for 45 years in our Wakinikona Hawaiian Club and Kamehameha Alumni Assn. and will  miss him at our Hawaiian events & as a friend. May he Rest in Aloha.

I’m so sorry to get this sad news.  I didn’t know Franklin well.  We were Facebook friends and fellow Kamehameha grads.  When I did interact with him, I always left with a smile on my face.  He was genuine,  and caring.  Always felt strong aloha after seeing him.
