HARRIET “KANA” LEONG, age 78, of Honolulu, passed away June 17, 2011 at Queen’s Medical Center. Born February 13, 1933, she was a retired Group Sales Manager for Island Holidays and owner of Pacific Island Travel. Survived by sons, James “Kimo” (Nani) Leong, Jason (Keahi) Leong; daughter, Jill (James) Hakuole; grandchildren, James, Jr., Justin, Jonah, Jared, Jordan, Haley, McKenzie, Kobe, Hi’ilei, Makana; great-grandson, Paoa; brothers, Edmund, Peter and Arthur Louis; sister, Lori Louis; brother-in-law, Clayton (Vana) Leong; sister-in-law, Margaret Tacub.
Visitation 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Borthwick Mortuary-Mauka Chapel; service 10:30 a.m.; burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Special Olympics Hawaii, Inc. (P.O. Box 3295, Honolulu, Hawaii 96826). Casual attire.
