JAMES KALAMA KOANUI, 80, of Honolulu, born in Honolulu, passed away on June 18, 2011 at Straub Hospital. He was a retired Sargent Major for the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by his wife Hannah; son Clifford; brother Christopher Koanui; sisters Elaine Kim-Kama, Madeline McKeague, Francine Woodward and Donna Goo; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Service Information: Visitation on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Maunakea Chapel, Borthwick Mortuary at 9:00 a.m., Funeral services begins at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m.
