JENNIFER XIE QUACH, age 20, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, passed away April 25, 2011. Born April 12, 1991 in Honolulu, she was a graduate of James Campbell High School and was enrolled at Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) studying Biology. She is survived by her parents and sister.
Jennifer was a highly motivated individual. In the short time she spent with us, she proved to be not only academically gifted (Jennifer was her graduating class’ valedictorian) but also highly involved in co-curriculars (Health Occupations Students of America, Pacific Asian Affairs Council, Chinese Club, National Honor Society, Soft Tennis, etc.) and a champion for global environmental awareness. She was the epitome of a well-rounded student and received recognition for that when she was awarded a full four-year Presidential Scholarship to HPU as well as the Cayetano Foundation Scholarship.
A hard worker and a beautiful person both inside and out, Jennifer did not hesitate to help out friends and others in need, even when she had pressing matters to attend to (i.e., homework, work). Her friendly disposition and happy personality radiated to those around her, and she could often be found with a ready smile and a silly laugh waiting to bubble out. She truly made this world a brighter place, and heaven is lucky to have her now. Jennifer was a great daughter, sister, friend and person and will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
