Kevin Y. Katamoto, 53, of Honolulu, died suddenly on January 19, 2013 in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu. Graduated from James B. Castle High School, B.B.A. In Management from the University of Hawaii and MBA from the University of Phoenix. Retired Honolulu Police Lieutenant. Served primarily in the Kalihi district and at the Training Academy. Survived by wife, Peggy; parents, Masaru and Chieko; brothers, Kenneth and Curtis; sister, Joe Ellen (Brian) Nurding. Nephews and nieces: Reyn (Erin) Horner, Taryn Horner, Ashley Katamoto, and Raiden Horner. Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 6) at Borthwick Mortuary; service 11:00 a.m. Private burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
