He became a mathematics teacher and then served in the South Vietnamese military during the war.
In April of 1975, he, along with his wife (Thao Phuong Dinh) and 1 year old son, left Vietnam, eventually settling in Philadelphia, PA.
He earned his PhD in Mathematics at Temple University and then worked at the EPA until his retirement in 2012.
He passed from this world on February 8, 2026.
He is survived by his wife (Thao Phuong Dinh), sons (David and Andrew Dinh), daughter (Christina Dinh), and grandchildren (Damien, Abigail, Alex, and Nora).
