Lamala Saaga Scanlan, 82, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on May 31, 2014. She was born in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Lamala was a Manager at the Hickam Exchange. She is survived by her sons, Jerry L. and Tafu Scanlan; daughters, Maude Tuipala of California, Mavis T. Palakiko, and Haaheo Scanlan; sister, Matilda Lolotai; brother, Donald Saaga; 16 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. She was predecased by sons, Joseph and Leonard Scanlan, daughter, Ailua Schwartz, and sister, Marion Uperesa.
Funeral services will be held on June 19, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary - Maunakea Chapel. Visitation will begin at 8:30am and service will begin at 10am. Burial to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at 1pm.
