She was born on December 17, 1928, in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. In 1959, she immigrated to San Francisco and later made her home in Honolulu. After the birth of her daughter, Lolita enrolled in Honolulu Beauty College, where she became a licensed hairdresser and cosmetologist. She went on to own and operate Lolita’s Beauty Salon for over 30 years before retiring in 2005.
Lolita was an active volunteer at Our Lady of the Mount Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Kōkua Kalihi Valley Senior Center and, most of all, cherished time with her family.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Veillard (Tony Ng), and her grandson, Christopher Wong, and was preceded in death by her sister, Faustina Mendoza (Buenaventura), and her brother, Jaime Foronda Sr. (Patrocinio).
She will be remembered for her generosity and compassion, helping anyone in need, and for her deep love of God, family, and community.
