My deepest Condolences to the Richards family on your lost. Paul was my USC roommate and life long friend. I still can't believe he's gone and very sad that I can't join you. Paul always made me laugh with his quick wit and sense of humor. Paul use to always make fun of me at USC because I was too lazy to cook for myself. So I was always eating rice to fill myself up. He would say "your eating rice again"? Finally he took matters in his own hands and made me a decent Hawaiian plate lunch from time to time to ween me off my 100% pure rice diet! Lol I will always cherish our time together at USC and beyond. It's so hard for me to come to terms that he's really gone but I know in my heart of hearts that we will always be bonded in life and death! Many friendships come and go over the years but ours always remained strong with the help of Facebook. I will always remember his big smile, his generosity, his quick wit and incredible sense of humor. We always made each other laugh! I will truly miss you my dear friend and in tribute to our friendship, I would like to dedicate the song that truly captures how I feel in you honor. Song: "Thank You For Being A Friend"

Oh man.... We were all just together on Monday discussing the efforts to reconnect the Waimanalo Hawaiian Homestead Association with Blanche Pope School....Me Ke Aloha Uncle Paul. O Maluhia Ka huaka'i.

I am still lost for words. my mind hasn't processed that you are gone. RIL my cousin Paul P. Richards! I Love You. And love you all of my Waimanalo Ohana.

We had a very productive day today. Ryzen did his Eagle Scout Project. We restriped St. Frances Schools parking lot. It was a nice and sunny day. But, there was a brief moment where it showered on us. And I truly believe it was PAUL P. RICHARDS sending his blessings from up above. Paul was Ryzen's Scout Master. He helped mentor him and was actually helping him with this project. They worked on planning it together but unfortunately, his passing caused him not to be there to see it thru. But I know he was there watching over us. Thank you Paul for everything you've done. I know Ryzen made you proud today. He did an awesome job. We will miss you

He has made a great impact on our lives. I felt his presence with us today. It was a comforting feeling knowing he was with us. I promise you everything just worked out perfect. When we were planning it, we first had planned to do Kailua High School. But, it was a night mare, but your Uncle was always calm and kept me grounded. Then we had to start all over and plan a different location. And it was working out. Then when he passed, I thought there is no way I can do this without him. And guess what, I didn't have to because I felt him right by my side the whole time.

My mind is blank, I don't know what to say other than I miss u brother Paul. I luv u so very much, you did so much for the family and the Waimanalo Community and also the Scouting Program!! You touched so many lives here and the other islands. You'll be missed by everyone.

Paul was beloved at the University of Hawaii. He won Best Presentation for his Culinary Delight of Kamaboko Curried Egg. 

Paul went all out to promote the assets of diversity... that gift to the world that every person has within. We love and miss you dearly at UH Student Equity, Excellence and Diversity and UH Office of Student Affairs.
"DREAM BIG" and make it a reality were some of Paul's passions for children of all ages and stages. 
Mahalo, Paul for helping to mastermind our SEED Manoa Experience Activities.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Paul for many years at Honfed Bank. I extend my Deepest Sympathy to his Ohana may he rest in peace.

It's sinking in that you are not coming home to us. No more outings and treats from you. No more helping you with whatever it is, or turning to you for help with whatever I needed, weather its advice reassurance in my choices or helping my Lil family in hard times. I know living here wasn't easy for you, but you just put up with it. I miss you everyday that goes by when you don't return home. It just feels like you're on one of your business trips, but this time your never coming back home. Writing your eulogy and looking through photos of you for your collage. I can't help but to break down. I try to stay strong for my kids but its hard. All I want to do is break down and cry. You left too soon. Maybe Heavenly Father had better plans for you....Please visit me in my dreams and let me know your Ok....Kisses to the sky for you. Tell Gramma I said hi and that I miss and Love her tool.

It was a beautiful celebration of life for our cuz'n Paul Richards. He showed a lot of love for all the Hawaiian Community of Waimanalo and his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Auwe, we are so sad to hear of Brother Paul's passing. What a great guy. Yes he was such a great contribution to our Church and Community family. How wonderful he is with Mom and Dad now. Paul P. Richards my thoughts and prayers are with Paul's family and friends. He was such a kind and caring person. The world is lesser today for his passing

Paul taught me what it meant to be Hawaiian. He taught me the Aloha spirit. We laughed, cried and tried to make changes as a team with the METS. I owe so much to this man.

I met Paul in 2008 and he Co-taught 7th grade Guidance for 3 yrs. He also guided the NHIS Class of 2014 as Co-Advisor (2008-2011). He was the METS Coordinator for the Nanakuli and Waianae High Schools. He was also involved in numerous groups such as Ke Ola Mamo, President of the Hawaiian Homestead Waimanalo, The LDS Church Boy Scouts just to name a few. Paul lived life with grace, positivity, Integrity, Respect and Aloha. He has touched so many lives and individuals that they are too numerous to mention.

Paul was such a humble and caring person who displayed and offered much Aloha to many.

Paul was a wonderful man with a special soul, A dedicated educational professional with a sharp wit.

Bro. Paul you will be truly missed. You have been a great inspiration to me and many others that you have helped. I am truly grateful for all you have done for me, My family and the Community.

Paul has dedicated so much time to students of Nanakuli through the METS Program. He was such a caring and selfless man. Thank you for everything you've done, Not just for me and my brother but also the students you've touched as well.

Paul Mahalo for your love for our people and the Nanakuli/Waianae Youth Program that you've coordinated. It is an endless labor of pure and genuine aloha to uplift our Hawaiian people.

I want to extend my condolences to your family, as we share in the memories of our dear Paul. I know that I will see you again. Wait for me by the gate of heaven. I will be there!!

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

You've helped the Waianae/Nanakuli at risk kids, The Waimanalo Community, University of Hawaii @ Manoa, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Also some of our residents in starting up there businessess and much much more that we are learning of each day. There are so many unanswered questions. We wish we could have been there to help so you could still be here. You were the connection to all our Ohana near and far. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
