Paul Lawrence Rombke, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at his home in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born March 10,1925 to the late Mary Katherine (Stanford) and Howard Melvin Rombke.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army for 32 years and traveled the world via his service. He loved to fly and sail, owning both a Cessna (for flight) and a Hobie Cat (for sailing).
Paul touched the lives of many throughout his life, and would help any and everyone in need. Paul is survived by his longtime friend of over 50 years, Chester Tyau, of the home; ohana (Hawaiian) grandchildren Angela Solano and husband, Byron of VA and Leslie Thai of NV; two ohana great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Paul was proceeded in death by his brother James Rombke and sister Betty (Rombke) Trier.
Services will be held at a future time at Arlington National Cemetery.
