Roy is the middle son of three siblings, brothers Asa and Ezra Heu.
Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army for 41 years; 2 years active duty and 39 years in the Reserves, including service during the Korean War. Alongside his military career, he was a Prison Guard at the Oahu Community Correctional Center then served as Harbor Police for 31 years in the State of Hawaii.
Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wives, married 8 years to Janet Lee (October 5, 1965) and married 46 years to Nancy Heu (December 11, 2024). Roy's legacy of love, strength and faith lives on in his children Leroy (Hazel), Helena (John), Tiffany and Bernadette (Mike), and grandchildren Malia, JJ, Joey, Noah and Axis.
