Sadie Puanani Holani, 83, a long time native of Pauoa Valley, Oahu, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Born on September 30, 1942, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Charles Fook Wah Choy Holani, Sr.
While her husband worked, she stayed home and worked as a baby-sitter and was an alternate “mom” to many children.
“Aunty Pua” as she was better known as, also assisted with many Pauoa Elementary School May Day Programs. She was an active participant with the many churches she attended, when she could.
She is survived by her 6 children, Sharlene (Aaron), Denise, Charles, Jr. (Kim), Chantilly (Robert), Randi, and Darlyne (Bal); 14 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Hanai Children.
She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth “Kaui”, Francis (Doris), Calvin, and Naomi (Dexter). Services will be held at Borthwick – Maunakea Chapel, 1130 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, HI on Friday, November 7, 2025. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. Services at 12:00 noon. Casual/Aloha Attire. Lunch to be served. Burial will be Private.
