

She was born in Waialua, Oahu on December 28, 1931. She retired as a Medical Technologist from Pearl Harbor Navy Medical Clinic. She was a graduate of Kaimuki High School 1949. Other scholastic achievements include a graduate degree in Medical Technology and a post graduate in Public Health Administration from the University of Hawaii.
Developing an interest in self-healing and self-realization, she authored a biographical journey of her life with It's My Choice as well as publishing the newsletter Healthy Self.
Soo Myung was a member of the Self Realization Fellowship (SRF), American Society of Clinical Pathologists, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Pauhana Pumpers, and AARP.
She held licenses as a Graphologist,Medical Technologist (Hawaii), and Clinical Laboratory Scientist, (California).
Soo Myung is survived by her daughters Lisa (Jerry) Calhoun, Susan (Jessie Washington) Ferrante, son Edward (Leslie) Ferrante; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bartolo Francis Ferrante, sons Bartolo Francis Ferrante Jr. and Mark David Ferrante.
