

Stewart John Pike, 91, of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed peacefully into heaven on June 11, 2013. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 22, 1922, son of Reginald Arthur Pike and Laura May Stewart, husband of Nancy S. Yoneshige (deceased). He was a Missiles Field Service Representative (NIKE Weapons System) for Douglas Aircraft Company Inc. Retired as a stockbroker for Shearson Lehman Brothers, Inc. Division in Hawaii.
Stewart was a wonderful dad who had a very generous and compassionate heart. He loved animals, saving many unadoptable dogs from the Humane Society finding them forever homes and always keeping a few favorites for himself. He will be missed tremendously by his family and friends and will live on in ours hearts forever.
Stewart is survived by his daughter, Shirley Pike Auerbach (Michael) of Hawaii; sons, Lawrence J. Pike (Wendy) of West Virginia, Benjamin Edward Pike of Minnesota; sister, Helen A.Viebrock of Illinois; his granddaughters, Stephanie Auerbach of Hawaii, Laura Holm and Allison Pike of Minnesota; grandson, David Blood; great-grandchildren, Heidi, Tori and Shane of Minnesota.
Special thanks to Maria Agbisit, Brendo Arre and all the caregivers at the foster care home, your dedication and compassion in caring for our father during his last three years of life is commendable and truly appreciated. We are forever grateful for all the time, effort and care you gave to Stewart during his stay at your care home.
Per Stewart’s wish to be laid to rest with his beloved dog, Kricket, service and burial will be held at a later date.
