Mrs. Lay is survived by her spouse, John Lay; son, Morris Kaneshige, Jr.; daughter, Marian Asato; brothers, Cecil Kenneth Namocot, Adriano Namocot, and Michael Namocot; sisters, Felicidad Birch; grandchildren, Kyle Asato and James Kaneshige.
