Violet Infante Ayers

Violet Infante Ayers, age 92, succumbed to heart failure on May 12, 2017. She was born in Honolulu, the youngest of three sisters. She married Jack L. Ayers, Sr., a Marine veteran from Elkins, West Virginia and raised three sons while working for the Navy at Pearl Harbor. She retired from Camp Smith (USMC) after more than 30 years as a household goods counselor. A lifelong devout Catholic she was most recently very active as a member of the Third Order of Mary, Legion of Mary, and several other prayer and volunteer groups at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by sons Patrick H. Ayers (Aupuni) and Jack L. Ayers, Jr. (Elsie) of Las Vegas, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Violet is preceded in death by her Husband Jack L. Ayers, Sr. and son William M. Ayers.

Viewing will be at 10:00 am June 2, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel at 1330 Maunakea Street with prayer service to follow in the chapel. Lunch and fellowship will follow the services. Cremation and scattering of the ashes in Kaneohe Bay at private family ceremony will occur at a later date.
