Benjamin Franklin Pope

Mr. Benjamin Franklin Pope, age 83 of Dunn died Monday, October 3, 2022 at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

Mr. Pope was born December 20, 1938 in Harnett County the son of the late Josiah Blackman Pope and Lela Ruth Hamilton Pope and is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Pope was retired from Erwin Mills with over 30 years of Service. He was a lover of animals and especially horses.

He is survived by: His wife of 26 Yeas: Katie Pope of the home.

Sons: Ricky Pope of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Billy Pope and (wife) JoAnn of Spivey’s Corner, NC and Mitchell Pope of Erwin, NC.

Grandchildren: Jeremie Pope and Jonathan Pope

Great Grandchildren: Mary, McKenzie, Riley and Brayden.

Sisters: Alene Smith and Alice Turlington

The family will hold a private service.
