Mr. Reece was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a Bronze Star recipient and he also received the Army Commendations Award. Mr. Reece was a retired civil service employee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Reece and grandson Reece Tubb.
Leaving to cherish his memories are daughter, Judy Currie and husband Greg; granddaughter, Sarah Hinson; great-granddaughter, Kadence Norton; and companion, Jane Rule.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Reeves Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Main Post Cemetery with the rendering of full military honors and Masonic grave rites.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital or Falcon Children’s Home, 7569 N. West Street, Falcon, N.C. 28342.
