In 1978 she graduated Belvidere High School and four years later in 1982 became a Graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with an Emphasis in Criminal Justice. In her career she worked in the Tool & Die industry for 20+ years as an office administrator and self taught computer programer. Catherine was always full of life and her hobbies included camping, hiking, backpacking, and spending time with family.
Left to cherish her memory are her Father, John Gilmour; sisters, Margi Gilmour and her husband Bruce, Mary Rogers and her husband John, Sarah Klosa and her husband Rob, and Karen Estep and her husband Terry; brothers, Pat Gilmour and his wife Nancy, Steve Gilmour and his wife Tammy and Greg Gilmour; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her Mother, Barbara Chiodini Gilmour in 2000.
The family will accept friends for a celebration of life on Thursday September 8, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
