U.S. Army MSG (retired) David Preston Mullens of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday August 22, 2018 at Fayetteville VA Medical Center. A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, preceded in death by his wife Lillie Mullens, son Avery Mullens, daughters Vickie Mullens-Pitts and Laura Gilmore. Mr.Mullens is survived by his granddaughters Christine Puhl (spouse Ryan Puhl) Heather Ladd,stepdaughter Kay Knisley ,son in law Gregory Pitts and great grandchildren Noah Puhl, Liliana Puhl and Haley Ladd. Funeral services will be Friday 10am at Christ United Methodist Church located at 3101 Raeford Rd Fayetteville NC with a burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Christ UMC. Services entrusted to Reeves Funeral Home.
