Mrs. Enid Jernigan Baggett, 76, of Dunn died Saturday morning, September 27 at Golden Years in Falcon. She was born March 22, 1938 in Sampson County, daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Lou Jernigan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Baggett and a son, Ken Baggett. Mrs. Baggett was a School Teacher for 33 years and taught most of her career in the Cumberland County schools. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught the adult Sunday school class for many years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 4 at 4:00 P.M. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Kyle Burrows officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the church. She is survived by two sons, Kelly Baggett and wife Carole and Brent Baggett all of Dunn, one brother, Charlie Jernigan and wife Kay of New Bern, two sisters, Marilyn Wood and husband Mike of Aiken, SC and Nancy Wilson and husband Larry of Southport, and five grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Cameron, Jacob, and Joshua. Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn is assisting the Baggett family.
