I loved him so much. He was my buddy. I’ve been thinking of him and been meaning to stop by then heard this news yesterday. Prayers of comfort to Alex, his mom and sisters, I’m very sorry for your loss. I know there’s comfort in knowing he’s with Jonathan again. My heart is broken. Rest in paradise my dear friend.

Many memories of Nando. You were like a brother to me when we were all young in Pine Island. Rest in peace friend. Say hi to my brother Bob for me. 

Kids in Pine Island we were!  I was in school with Fernando in Elementry School.  My 4th grade class, he sat across from me!  How I remember these little details, Lord knows why!  :-)  As i moved across the states, he became close friends with my siblings.  Kind words were always spoke about him and how he helped with the kindness of his heart.  May his wings spread, his soul be bright and fly.  May his family have love, find peace and know his arms are wrapped tightly around you.   RIP Fernando.

Fernando was a friend in Pine Island and Warwick Schools. He was always funny, kind and polite. He always had a smile to pass along to anyone that needed it. My deepest sympathies to Fernando’s family. Sending you prayers of strength and healing. Rest In Peace my dear friend ❤️ 

This is very sad news. I knew Fernando from school & I always remember him having a smile on his face. He was one of the sweetest, caring  people I knew. Fernando may you RIP my dear friend.

when we were younger kids in Pine Island we had fun hanging out with the neighborhood gang riding mini bikes and three wheelers and playing around the farm,  Fernando was always such a nice guy, fun, happy, polite, and friendly !   I also remember you too Lu Lu as being very nice, happy, and pretty.   It sounds like Fernando grew into an excellent man!  I’m so sorry to here about him passing, God bless you all. I want say to the family I am so sorry for your loss  I'm sure he will be with you in his own way  I'm sure he would want you to remember happy times you all had with him he now has his wings an I'm sure in no more pain again sorry AND MAY HE REST IN PEACE. AMEN 

I remember Fernando from high school in general and football specifically. Rarely did I ever see him without a smile. 
I will always remember him as a good guy, fun loving.

I have many memories of Fernando. I can still see his Dapper self walking down the hallways of Warwick high school in his white slacks and pink dress  shirt, Always looking handsome along with being one of the kindest men I’ve ever known. The time when we were on our senior trip and he was looking for a blow dryer, and I gave  him my pink one and it had a short in it and just about set his hair on fire. The best memory I have of him  lately would be that he would always reach out to me to see how my son was doing during his military service time. I remember several years back I did get a friend request from a Jesse James on Facebook. I had no idea who this was so I didn’t except it. When I finally realized it was Fernando it was so excited to finally be in touch with him again. May you rest in peace my veteran hero.
