He was born January 2, 1922 in Everett, Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Minnie Cornell King.
Mr. King was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine Whetstone, Freda Barefoot, Jean Kund, Richard King, Sam King, and Charlotte Logston.
Left to cherish his memories are daughter, Dorothy Dowless and husband, D.W. Dowless; two grandchildren, Diana Hooks and David W. Dowless, Sr.; four great-grandchildren, Richard and Rodney Hooks, David Wayne Dowless, Jr. and Ashley Dowless; and one brother, Earl King.
The family received friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at Reeves Funeral Home.
Graveside services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with the rendering of military honors.
