James was born on December 16, 1935 in Indiana, PA, to the late Carl and Ruth Rowe.
He led an illustrious career in the US Armed Forces, serving over 12 years in the Air Force, and 20 years in the Navy before retiring.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills with Pastor Bryan Elton officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park West in Fayetteville, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, July 8, 2011 at Reeves Funeral Home.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Frances; 12 children; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles; and sister, Ilene.
