Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man who cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them any chance he got. He also enjoyed auto racing and football.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Patterson; his parents Otis and Effie Patterson; his brother, Tommy Patterson; his sister, Pearl Goins; and his nephew, Randy Patterson. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Patterson and wife Cynthia of Dunn, and Terry Patterson and wife Allison of Cedar Creek; grandchildren, Anita Patterson, Jimmy Patterson, Timothy Patterson, Ashley Patterson with Thomas Fortner, Eddie Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, and Sarah Patterson; great grandchildren, Madison Fortner and two living in Texas; and his niece, Tammy Patterson of Lillington.
A memorial service for Jimmy will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348.
