June was born in West Point, New York, on July 25th, 1958, to the late John and Patricia (Blaner) Davis. Due to her father's service in the Air Force, her childhood was marked by frequent moves, each new place a temporary home, until the family found lasting roots on a quiet goat farm called Crystal Spring Farms in South Berwick, Maine. In 1996, her journey led her to Eliot, Maine, where she raised her children and met the love of her life, George. Their bond blossomed, culminating in marriage on a winter day—December 13th, 2014. June, affectionately known as Junebug, was the heart of her family — a devoted wife, loving (and courageous) twin mother, and adoring grandmother. She was incredibly proud of her children’s military service, often sharing their accomplishments with joy and admiration. One of her greatest pleasures was traveling to visit her kids and their families wherever the Army brought them, treasuring every moment spent together. She filled every room with warmth, laughter, and a quiet strength that comforted those around her. June had a gift for making people feel seen and loved, and her kindness left a lasting mark on all who knew her. She was deeply cherished and will be missed more than words can say.
June was a talented and dedicated engineering technician whose curiosity and determination fueled a remarkable 40+ year career in high-tech production and research. She brought her sharp mind and steady hands to companies like Centripetal, Rivulet, Enterasys Networks, Cabletron Systems, and Data General, where she played a key role in building and refining complex hardware systems. June took pride in her work and was known for her meticulous attention to detail, her quiet confidence, and her ability to solve problems others couldn’t. Her sharp eye, collaborative spirit, and deep technical expertise left a lasting impact on every project she touched and earned her the deep respect and affection of her colleagues.
June is survived by her husband, George; her children, Nicole Bernice Bolgiano-Fermanis (Rachel), Jason Arthur Fermanis (Stacey); step-children, Will Kirkwood (Haley), Sarah Kirkwood-Bannon (Mike) and Laura Kirkwood-Higgins (Stephan); her grandchildren, Lucas Cole Bolgiano-Fermanis, Liam Ray Bolgiano-Fermanis, Jason Arthur Fermanis Jr., Jathan Owens, Jazlyn Brionna Owens, Jaylin Roshan Owens, Colton Higgins, Jude Bannon, Desmond Bannon, and Lucy Bannon; her brother Mark Davis; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
June was predeceased by her brother John Davis, II, and sister Patricia Vansickle.
A Celebration of Life ceremony for June will be held on July 26th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in South Berwick, Maine.
