Ms. Kathleen Thornton Warren, 90, of West Thornton Road, Dunn died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. Ms. Thornton was born July 16, 1923 in Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Luther W. and Lena Jackson Thornton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, E. Wallace Warren, a son, Larry Warren, a granddaughter, Amy Renee Hamilton, and a brother, Wilbert Thornton. A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller and Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Gil Wise and Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Ann Allgeier and husband Ronald of Louisville, KY and Deborah Joyce Combs and husband Douglas William of Cape Cod, Mass., a sister, Mable Collier of Godwin, NC, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home.
