Letha Cox Creech

Letha Cox Creech passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021, at Smithfield Manor, Smithfield, NC, at the age of 91. She was born in Craven County on November 11, 1929. Her parents were Edward Cox and Ethel Morris Cox of Ft. Barnwell, NC. She was first married to Clarence Jason Davis and later to Garland Creech. She spent most of her years as a homemaker but always had a love for nursing and eventually received her Nurses Aide certificate from Craven Community College. Upon moving to Hope Mills, NC, she served as a volunteer Patient Relations leader with the Nurses Auxiliary at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, and retired with 20 years of service.

She is survived by her son, Neal Davis (Lorine) of Four Oaks, NC and daughter Patricia Armstrong of Leonardtown, MD; two grandsons, Jason (Four Oaks, NC) and Jeffrey Davis (Vass, NC); granddaughters, Hope Armstrong (Santa Cruz, CA) and Michelle Davis Stell (Wendell, NC); and a sister Beatrice Cox Morris of Vanceboro, NC.

Arrangements provided by Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 12 Noon, with a graveside service at 1:30 pm at Hope Mills Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
