Mrs. Mary Cook Burnette

Mary Cook Burnette, age 76 of Dunn died Monday, September 20, 2021 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC.

Mary was born on March 14, 1945 in Durham County the daughter of the late James Avery Cook and Mary Eliza Reaves Cook and is preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Burnette. She is also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Clay Burnette and brothers, James Cook and Roy Reaves.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Roy Johnson officiating.

She is survived by: A Daughter: Wanda B. Muir of Erwin, NC.

Son: Bobby Dean Burnette of Erwin, NC.

Brothers: Robert Cook and Wayne Cook both of Erwin, NC.

Sisters: Marie Tart of Dunn, NC and Ann Beasley of Benson, NC

5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

There will be a Visitation Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.

Due to covid mask are required in the funeral home.
