Miguel was born January 7, 1957 in Bronx, New York to the late Benigno and Tonita Capobianco Rivera. He served in the Army for seventeen years. After his service in the military Miguel worked in maintenance with an Army contractor.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos Rivera and Luis Rivera.
Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 am at Cliffdale Christian Center on Cliffdale Road with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am conducted by Pastor Joshua Goodman. Interment will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg at 2:00 pm with military honors.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Rivera; daughters, Candace Sundue, Michelle Angela Robles and son-in-law Gregorio Robles, Jr., Jessica Kamille Rivera; brother, Rev. David Rivera; grandchildren, Arielle Robles, Jesus Hernandez, Jr., Isaiah Kirby, and Eliana Rivera; five nephews and 2 nieces.
