Mr. Ortega was a World War II veteran.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
Leaving to cherish his memory are wife, Carmen F. Ortega; daughter, Mary O. Williams; sons, Nelson R. Ortega, Raymond J. Ortega, and Richard J. Ortega; sister, Marion Lopez; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Reeves Funeral Home with a wake service beginning at 8:30 p.m.
A funeral mass wass be conducted at 12 noon Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association 3131 RDU Center Drive, Suite 100, Morrisville, NC 27560.
Arrangements were under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC.
