Bob was an amazing man who loved his family with such a fierceness that it was literally palpable. He loved children and was “Grandpa” to every child he met. He had the type of personality that you couldn’t help but love. It has been said that he was a “World Champion of all the things.” He loved golf, hunting, fishing, and tinkering on small motors. He was a jack of all trades and could figure anything out if he was given the time…he knew “A little about everything, and a lot about nothing.”
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ludell Sampson; his sister, Kathy Sampson Glenn, and his brother, Thomas Sampson.
Bob left behind a legacy in his family. He will be missed by all, but especially by his wife, Yvonne Sampson; his daughter, Leslie A. Haskins and her husband, Tom; his son, Eric Francis Sampson; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Deutsch and her husband, Erik, and Zachary Haskins; his sisters, Patricia Conn, Joyce Macri and her husband, Tony, and Mary Sampson; his brothers, John Sampson, Joseph Sampson, and Bill Sampson and his wife, Gina; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, honorary grandchildren, and friends.
