Roy Walters, 73, of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, passed away on March 3, 2026. Born September 4, 1952, Roy was born and raised in Robeson County, North Carolina. He will be remembered as hard-working, honest, loyal, and patient—steady qualities that shaped the way he lived and the way he cared for others.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Walters; his parents, Roy and Flora Mae Walters; his brother, James Walters; and his sister, Brenda Wright. He is survived by his children, Steven Walters (Brenda Oakes) and Rhonda Cottle (Danny); his sister, Nancy Huggins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Roy loved to tinker, especially on cars, and he truly couldn’t sit still for long. He enjoyed joking and playing, bringing lightness and laughter to everyday moments and to the people around him.
Above all, Roy’s legacy is found in the simple truth that he was always there when you needed him. His dependable presence, quiet strength, and faithful love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
