Mr. Walter G. Parker, age 87, of Dunn died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Universal Nursing Home in Lillington.
Mr. Parker was born on August 24, 1930 in Harnett County the son of the late Benjamin Carman Parker & Myrtie Ryals Parker and preceded in death by his brother, Carl H. Parker.
Mr. Parker was a member of Layden Memorial United Methodist Church in Raleigh where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher and in other capacities of the Church. He retired with 30 years of service at Erwin Mills and farmed part time. He enjoyed photography.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marshall Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington.
Surviving includes: Nephew, Glen Parker of Dunn, NC and Great Nephew, Benjamin Parker of Dunn, NC
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
