

Abbye Arlean Pryor Rogers, age 104 of Hot Springs, died May 10, 2025. She was born in San Jon, New Mexico on December 9, 1920 to Andrew Fuller and Martha Abigail Pryor. Arlean moved to Arkansas as a child and attended school in Kelso, graduating with honors from McGhee High School. She went on to attend Monticello A&M where she met the love of her life, Will M. Rogers. In 1947, the family moved to Hot Springs.
She attended the First United Methodist Church where she was an active member for more than 70 years. Arlean was the bookkeeper for the Garland County Farmers Association. She was a member of many organizations holding many state and local offices including; AARC, Beta Sigma Phi, Eastern Star, Hot Springs Razorback Club, Lakeside PTA, Rainbow Girls, Special Olympics, Square Dance Club, The Caring Place, and the Volunteer Council of the Arkadelphia Human Development Center. Arlean and Will were instrumental in passing Legislation for Arkansans with intellectual disabilities and traveled throughout the United States for the cause.
Arlean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Will M Rogers, two sons Andrew Rogers and Carey Rogers, granddaughter Angelean (Bledsoe) Lenihan, brother Joe Pryor, sister Nila Johnson, and son-in-law George W. Bledsoe. Survivors include two daughters Wilma N. Bledsoe, Marsha S. Rogers, surrogate daughters Betty Jo Cochran, Sara Elkin, and Phyllis Mills and three grandchildren Geania Dickey (Matt), Josh Rogers (Jennifer), Zack Rogers (Shelly) and surrogate grandson Jimmy Lenihan. Arlean was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Arlean was one of the sweetest people you could ever know, never an unkind word and faithful to the end.
The family wishes to thank Hospice Home Care, especially her nurse Lonna Stevens. And Diamond Lakes Assisted Living for her final months of care.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist church of Hot Springs and the Caring Place of Hot Springs.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor at the First United Methodist Church of Hot Spring on Saturday, June 7, 10:00 a.m. We invite all that knew her to join us in remembering her legacy of love.
