Baudilia (Lillie) Hinojosa Mendez passed away January 31, 2022 in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Lillie was born March 4, 1939 to Benito and Tomasita Hinojosa. Lillie met and married her lifelong sweetheart Raul M Mendez Sr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. They were married for 47 years. Raul and Lillie lovingly raised five children together. Lillie was a florist for many years and owned her own floral shop in Corpus Christi. Lillie and Raul moved to Magnet Cove, Arkansas where they raised their family until 1987. They then moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she continued to work as a florist. After retirement Raul and Lillie spent their time traveling, going to car shows, flea markets, fishing and spoiling their grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and cooking large dinners for their family.
Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Amador Hinojosa and her husband. She is survived by her sister Amelia Molina of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Raul M Mendez Jr. and Donna of Laurel, Maryland; son, Paul A Mendez and Anni of Bradenton, Florida; daughter, Debbie and Phillip Wright of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; daughter, Prisca and Bob Asaro of Cape Coral, Florida; daughter, Amalia Mendez of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Jenefer and Darrell Carlton, Zach and Clair Mendez, Raul Mendez III, Dulcie Babbit, Lilli and Connor Hamilton, Dakota and Caddo Wright, Paulina Stamper, Dylan Wright, Reid Graham and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:00pm Saturday February 5, 2022 at Gross Funeral Home with a celebration of Lillie’s life immediately following at 3:00pm.
