Dorothy Jones, 93, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, June the 23rd. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and sister Louise Madden. Her survivors include daughters Janice Jones and Marilyn Feimster, her grandson David Feimster, all of Hot Springs, and her brother Clifford Payne of Dallas.
She loved the outdoors and was an expert at identifying plants and flowers. She also belonged to numerous nature organizations. She trekked across the American Southwest and the Grand Canyon several times with her husband Jack. She read everything she could get her hands on and enjoyed spirted discussions at breakfast and lunch with friends. Her hiking buddies and bridge partners will miss her. But, we know her friends who went before her are poring over ‘new trails to take’ and setting up the tables for ‘afternoons of bridge’.
She loved her cats and her constant companion, her little dog Sadie. The family appreciates the kindness and support from her many friends. A private graveside service was held June 27th. If you wish to celebrate her life, she requested contributions to the Garland County Library.
