Edna Elizabeth Kimbrel (Larseingue),76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25,2025 at The Pines Nursing and Rehab of Hot Springs, surrounded by friends and loved ones.
Edna was born on September 30,1948 in Lafayette, LA to Mary E. Larseingue and Wilfred P. Larseingue. Enda graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, LA. Edna was a faithful servant of Christ and member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hot Springs. She was a volunteer at The Salvation Army and at the Garland County Library and loved to help others. She was an avid reader and Alabama fan, “ROLL TIDE!” She will be remembered for her no-nonsense attitude and her feisty personality.
She is survived by her sister Mabel Larseingue of Hot Springs, AR who was a compassionate and loving caregiver to her, and her brother Maxime P. Larseigne of Waco, TX, and her beloved dog Lilly. Edna was preceded in death by her parents Mary & Wilfred Larseingue.
A celebration of Edna’s life will be held at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday September 3, 2025 at 11am with Father George Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held also at St. John the Baptist Church at 10am with Rosary to follow at 10:30am. All services will be overseen by Gross Funeral Home.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dierksen Hospice and The Pines Nursing Home especially Nurse Julie for their care and compassion for Edna during the last months of her life.
Though our hearts grieve, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Jesus and take comfort knowing that Edna is now in God’s presence where there is no more pain or sorrow.
