

She was born in Hope, AR on October 26, 1931 to the late Aaron Bearden and Bertha Robinson. Elouise was a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School. On July 1, 1960 Elouise married the love of her life, Don Smith. This July would have been a wonderful 55 years.
Elouise was a charter member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church. She loved her “Joy” Sunday school class and her teacher, Alice Robinson. She was affectionately known as the “candy lady”. Elouise loved to coach the young boys and girls of the Hot Springs Junior Bowlers Assoc. in her early years of 1969-1977. Elouise worked at Arkansas Bank and Trust for 30 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Zeta Chi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
She is predeceased by her parents, Aaron Bearden and Bertha Robinson, brother Clifford Bearden, nephew David Todd Ballentine and nephew Michael Bearden.
Loving survivors, husband Don Smith, son Don Smith, Jr., (partner Greg A. Smith, daughter Annie Rosetta Mae Smith), daughter Vicky L Ross, (husband Tony Ross, daughter Taylor Ross), Grandson Jordan Burrough (Hannah Barnett, daughter Gracie Rae), sister Darlene Ballentine (husband Wally), brother in law, Doyle J Smith (Kay), sister in law, Kathy Bearden and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Buddy Black, Mark Reed, Doyle Smith, Tim Dixon, Charles Spicer and Jim Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her church family and friends, the staff of 3-West, St. Vincents, particularly Tyanna Collins, Lexi Rasnic, Tiffany Langford, Laura Odle, Stacy Lowe, Katie Treadway, Shawna Anderson and Dr. Daniel Rowe.
A special thanks to Mark and Linda Reed, for all of her and Don’s wonderful trips and cruises during the past 32 years.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at Hot Springs Baptist Church with Bro Manley Beasley and Bro Mike Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hot Springs Baptist Church building fund or The Jackson House.
