As an active civic leader, he received too many honors to list. He served as an Alderman in North Little Rock and worked to establish Burns Park and the baseball leagues which played there. He was a member of Rotary and served as the Director of the North Little Rock Boys Club. Frank followed in his father’s footsteps and became a pharmacist. He worked at several pharmacies beginning his career at Huggins Drug in North Little Rock. Later he had a second career in banking at Twin City Bank. He loved barbershop singing, was in two movies, many commercials and was an avid golfer.
Frank and his wife are members of the First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs where he sang in the choir and served on several committees.
Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, Carold T. Huggins and Eugene Huggins.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marian Doris Huggins; daughters Donna Guenther, Debi Cochran, and Dyan Prescott; a sister Emily Talley of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. If there is a sentence to describe Frank Huggins, it would be; he loved to help others. Frank spent the last few years of his life in Montgomery County Nursing Home where he was very well cared for and greatly loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montgomery County Nursing Home, 741 South Drive, Mt Ida, Arkansas, 71957.
