George moved to Hot Springs with his family in the early 1970s. In 1974 his parents opened Seven Hills Restaurant, one of the very few fine dining options in Hot Springs at the time. After many years working in the family restaurant George went to work for Coco Beverage and then Bubba Brew’s where he made lifelong friends with the customers he distributed to. George truly loved his job and never met a stranger.
He was a devoted family man and an avid boater who loved time spent with family on Lake Ouachita. He took immense pride and joy in maintaining his home and lawn, which were always pristine. Above all of his favorite hobbies, he absolutely adored his classic Corvette.
He is preceded in death by his parents and cherished bonus daughter, Andrea Hamby.
George is survived by his wife of 22 years, Karen; bonus daughters, Kris Hopkins (Rob), Valerie Brasseale and Jamie LaPaglia (Doug); granddaughters, Sydney King (Asher) and Maddy Hamby; brothers, Pat Chrisos (Sandee) and Dominic Chrisos (Becky); sister, Kathy Kendl (Mario); nieces, Angela Haynie, Julianna Kendl and Gina Tome; nephews, David Irpino (Gina Kraft) and Dominic Irpino; step son, Jason Egleston as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to George’s son-in-laws, Scott Hamby, Eric Brasseale and Rob Hopkins as well as Jason Egleston, Dave Irpino, Angela Haynie, Mark Landrum, Mike Pendergraft, Ned Bass, Dr. Divers, UAMS Radiation staff and the staff of CHI St. Vincent ICU-Brooke, Emily and Jacob.
Per George’s wishes the family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
