

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Randall Scott Allen.
Loving survivors include his adoring wife of 31 years, Joyce Ivy Allen of Hot Springs; children, James Brent Allen II, Alisa Blanchard, and Shelley Cranford; grandchildren, James Brent Allen III, Cameron, Carrigan and Creighton Blanchard, Josie, and Tara Cranford, and Shelby and Zack Kirk; and great grandson, Tyler Blanchard.
James is of the Christian faith and loved to sing in the choir at First Baptist Church.
James was a commander in the U.S. Navy. Some of the highlights of his career included: served at the Pentagon, participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf, served as Central Command Quarry Heights Panama, served at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and commanded the Navy Destroyer U.S.S. Frank E. Evans DD 754, the little beavers. James was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Commander after 30 years having participated in three wars during that time.
Family would like to thank their new family members/ caregivers, Krista Ward and Brandon Ward, Hospice Home Care, Larry and Carolyn Holcomb, and Kimberly Sanders for always being there for their family. We love you all!
