James Olice McGuire, better known as “Bud”, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022.
He was born June 24, 1934 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late James Albert & Ruth Lillian (Southerland) McGuire. As a child, Bud loved riding bikes with his running buddy, Owen D. (Dillard). He loved fishing with Grady Collier & James Ennis. Bud married the love of his life, Dorothy Fay Loy on September 4, 1965. Later in life he & Dorothy enjoyed camping at Point Cedar, on Lake DeGray, with their camping buddies, Bobby & Rose, Carol & Shorty, Jackie & Mary Lou, and Jim & Audren. Bud was a carpenter by trade. He began his training at the age of 10 by helping his father during the summer. He built countless homes through the years and retired from Shirley Construction.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Rosa Coffman, Eva Lynn, Louise Fletcher and Abbie Lee Conine, and his son-in-law Robert Jester, Sr.
