Jean attended the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee Extension before transferring to Milwaukee- Downer College and earning her home economics degree. Jean was a home maker, substitute teacher, and insurance employee.
It was at Extension, she met fellow student, Robert J. Leister. The college sweethearts married in 1955 and shared almost 63 tears of love, faith and family. She is survived by her son, David, of San Jose, California.
She loved her family, friends, and Christian faith. For leisure, she enjoyed sewing, fishing, as well as, arts and crafts. In 2004 she earned the distinction of Life Master in duplicate bridge.

A memorial service for Jean will be at Gross Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 1pm.
