On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, Jeanne Martin Reynolds of Hot Springs, Arkansas went to be with the Lord due to complications from Alzheimer’s. Jeanne was born on October 24, 1929 in Volga, Iowa. She lived on the family farm until she graduated from high school and then attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa. She married her best friend Carol Gene Reynolds on August 28, 1949.
Jeanne was preceded in death by Carol; her parents Michael and Vera Martin and Sister Lavon Corrigan. Jeanne had five children, who survive them: Mark Reynolds, Meri Reynolds Martin (Richard), Steve Zeke Reynolds (Jenny), Susan Martin (Jeff), and Cheryl McDonald Moore (James). She was “Bom” to eight granddaughters and thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister Sandra Roys of Ames, Iowa survives along with four nieces , one nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was a hard working inspiration to her children and family. She was a LPN nurse at National Park (Ouachita) hospital for 28 years. Her children and grandchildren were very proud of her tenacity; and used her love of learning and work ethic to guide their own educations and careers. Her family will miss her laugh, stories, caring, but will have wonderful memories of spending time together.
The family would like to thank Pam Creswell, Roxanne Golden, Anita Hughes, Dionna Bobus, Rochelle Reed, Connie West, Ruby Tam, Linda Gilliam, and Lyle Reninger for the love and care they provided for our mother.
Funeral services will take place 1:00pm Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, 105 Village Rd, Hot Springs.
