In Loving Memory of Jerry Edward Robbins
June 8, 1944 – April 17, 2025
Jerry Edward Robbins, 80, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Born on June 8, 1944, Jerry lived a life full of purpose, laughter, and love—a life defined not by the years he lived, but by the lives he touched along the way.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, Jerry spent much of his life in service to others. He was a proud retired firefighter and member of the National Guard. His love for the outdoors and animals led him to Oaklawn Racetrack, where he worked with horses and found joy in the rhythm and spirit of the track.
Beyond his career, Jerry was a passionate golf enthusiast. The greens were his sanctuary, and he loved nothing more than a good swing, a sunny day, and great company. His sense of humor and engaging nature made him a joy to be around—always ready with a quick-witted comment, a warm smile, or a story that made you feel like family.
Family meant everything to Jerry. He cherished time spent with his loved ones and his beloved pets, who were just as much a part of his heart. He was the kind of man who showed up, who listened, who loved deeply and gave generously of himself.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Elza and Dorothy Robbins, and his brother, Ronnie Robbins. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Vicki Robbins; his daughter Sydney Smith; his stepson Tony Edwards; stepdaughter Gavin Nelson (husband Steven); granddaughters Madison (husband Bo) Birdsong and Graison Smith, Olivia Nelson and Mia Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Barret and Emory Birdsong. His legacy lives on in each of them—in their laughter, their strength, and their love.
To honor a life so beautifully lived, friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service & Charity Golf Scramble:
