

John Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on May 8, 2025. Born on October 16, 1947, he was a devoted husband and loving provider to his wife Opal. Johnny and Opal celebrated their 57th anniversary on Halloween last year. He was a steadfast father and guide to Coy Shannon and John Michael Davis.
Johnny was a lifelong truck driver with many million miles on the road to include 6 million safety miles. A lover of old and fast cars, he spent time at the races expertly tuning his own and others’ cars. Johnny was an excellent cook specializing in Cajun cuisine, which he greatly enjoyed serving his family. Cooking for his family brought him great joy.
John is survived by his wife, sons, sister, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He leaves behind many friends and his church family. Johnny was a member and loved attending Social Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
